Description:
Join us for the 2016 Santa Fe Renaissance Fair!  This beautiful site is located 5 minutes south of Santa Fe on an historic and period living history museum.  Proceeds from the event benefit the 200-acre outdoor living history museum, as well as the Santa Fe School for the Arts & Sciences.  There are many vendors, artists, entertainers, food booths, games, a beer, wine, and mead tent, and more.  There will be 3 stages with continuous entertainment and our friends the Clan Tynker will be performing as well as many local belly dancers and musicians.

The SCA village is our opportunity to showcase what the SCA is all about to an audience of over 9,000 patrons already interested in the theme of our club.  We invite all SCA Local Groups to send members to enjoy the fair (to help add ambiance) and maybe consider bolstering our volunteer corps.

Pets:
NO PETS ALLOWED

Los Ranchos de las Golondrinas is a working ranch and living history museum.

Fires:
Allowed in specified established fire ring in the SCA VIllage after-hours only and as allowed by venue and local and state laws.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteering is fun!  Share your love of the SCA with newcomers at this fun venue filled with people already interested in the theme of our club.  Each year has been record-setting attendance, with over 9,000 people through the gate last year.  This is a great opportunity for recruitment, this is where we got Sir Rowland and Lord Suretai, who have both enriched our Society.  We also gather info from interested parties and forward that to the closest Local Group for follow-up contact.

Volunteers will receive free gate fee, discount vouchers for food vendors, a really nice pewter event token, on-site camping access, after-hours revel, and the appreciation of your humble event steward.

Volunteers are needed for:
- Setup on the afternoon / early evening on the 16th
- Breakdown on the evening of the 18th
- Recruiting / Meet and Greet
- Heavy fighters
- Light fighters
- Bards
- Artisans
- Gift Basket Drawing
