Drygestan Fall Defender 2013

blasted-tree

Saturday, November 2, 2013, 9:00am @ Madrid Ball Fields

Happy Tidings, Gentles of Drygestan, As the colors of autumn change, the time draws ever closer to select our third seasonal defenders. His Excellency Don Simone Nicholls and the Honorable Lady Eireann Deerslayer do invite one and all to attend the Autumn Defender. As hosts, these goodly nobles have set both an A&S and Martial challenge for those attending.

For the heavy armoured list, a Crest Tournament shall be held. Each combatant shall create a crest in keeping with the season and the holy day of All Hallows' Eve. The Crest does not have to be period; the funnier and prettier, the better! The Crests will all be secured to the helmets at the event and if said Crest is removed during combat, the fighter shall accept defeat. Death can also be achieved in all normal modes associated with the fighting regulations of the SCA but points shall be awarded for the removal of an opponent Crest.

Most glorious death shall be rewarded! Fighters are requested to bring a prize to contribute to the tournament; champion will get first choice.

For artisans and alchemists alike, the shire colours shall be your inspiration on this occasion. Vert and Argent all supported in Sable; let the colors of Green and Silver be your muse as you create an item of your choosing.

The winning entrant shall be allowed to select their prize from the other entrants’ creations.

And finally, we shall all break bread and sup together in thanks for good company and a fine harvest season. Please bring a dish to support at least 6, based on your last name: A-H main dish, I-P vegetable/pasta, Q-Z dessert.

** STRICT NO-CINNAMON POLICY PLEASE **

Looking forward to seeing everyone on November 2nd!
